Riley’s coffee setup

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

My name is Riley, Born and bred on the Gold Coast (boardies and thongs are acceptable formal attire). Been on bit of a coffee adventure over the last couple of years. From international roast and blend 43. To cold brew and aeropressing local coffee blends.

I enjoy anything that gets me outside and gets the heart going.

From riding mountain bikes (poorly) downhill. Uphill Cardio is for losers. Boomerang park on the Goldie is epic!

To leading multipitch trad climbs in Mt Tibrogargan on the Sunshine Coast to Abseiling waterfalls in the hinterland

Tell us about your coffee setup you have here.

It's my go to camping (and with a strip down) hiking brew set-up. The jet boil is still kicking goals after 8 years.

The AB steel filter saves having to bring paper filters. But I don't think it filters as well.

Those two little Sistema containers fit about a weeks worth of sugar and fit perfectly in the stem of the Aeropress. And there's one of those sea to summit expanda cups that fits perfectly inside the jet boil in place of the stainless cup.

Do you own an espresso machine at home?

Just a nespresso machine *surely that's sin*

What other alternate brewing methods have you tried?

The stove top machine, and one of those wacaco hand pump machines. Also the coldbrew machine gets a workout over summer. The aeropress is just easier to use and clean.
